Abstract
The Wisdom of Creation of Man and His Responsibility in the Quran
Religion is for man. It existed together with the beginning of mankind. The aim of religion is to show all humanity the way to the happiness of the world and the hereafter. God, the Almighty, did not left since the beginning of mankind any nation without religion, and from time to time, he sent prophets to inform them of their religion. These prophets declared the adherents of religion their duties and responsibilities.
Indeed, reminding in the Quran the responsibilities of people and even jinn towards Himself, Allah Almighty says as followsd says:
“I created the jinn and humankind only that they might worship Me.” (Sûra al-Zariya, 51/56.)
Human responsibilities encompasses a wide area including national, moral and spiritual aspects. This varies from protecting and developing national, moral, human, spiritula and cultural values to the love and exaltation of family, country and nation and to the respect of human rights. In this resppect, it can be summerized as a system of activities that realize a lifestyle proper to human nature. Because, man, first of all, is responsible for what he sees, what he hears, even for what he knows and what he thinks he knows. This is a clear evidence showing that he has much responsibilities.
Indeed, ın a verse Allah says that He did not created man as a adrift being: “What! did you then think that We had created you invain and that you shall not be returned to Us?” (Mu’minun, 23/114-115.) And this statement is a symbolic expression of a dialogue reported to take place in the day of judgement between Allah and His servants.
