The importance of Ottoman Turkish has been understood in the context of its material and spiritual treasury and its teaching has been seen as important in recent times. We can say that interest in this field has started to increase day by day. In this context, Ottoman Turkish courses have been started compulsory in secondary schools, social sciences and imam hatip high schools, and in other high school types as electives. The aim of this study is to develop a validity and reliability study which can measure the attitudes of secondary school students towards Ottoman Turkish course. The study group was; 374 secondary school students including pilot application, exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis and reliability study. The scale has a four-dimensional structure explaining 67.95% of the total variance. These dimensions consist of interest towards Ottoman Turkish course, seeing Ottoman Turkish course important, avoidance of Ottoman Turkish course and contributing to cultural consciousness of Ottoman Turkish course. Compliance indexes of the scale consisting of 28 items and four sub-dimensions were found to be significant and sufficient. (X2 = 535.69, sd = 344, p = .00, X2 / sd = 1.55). The fit index values of the scale were RMSEA = .071, RMR = .068, NFI = .97, NNFI = .97, CFI = .98, IFI = .99, RFI = .96, AGFI = .93, GFI = .97 It was found. As a result of the analysis and the findings obtained, it can be said that a reliable and valid measurement tool that can be used in determining the attitudes of secondary school students towards Ottoman Turkish course has been developed.
