Abstract

Woman Image in Surreal Painting
Surrealism was the expression of radical uprising and unrecognized attitude in the field of art and life in the first quarter of the 20th century, and later the forerunner of changes in the field of art. Surrealism, which has adopted the attitude of unconscious sublimation, giving the work as it comes from inside and telling the truth in this way, has gathered many artists under the leadership of Andrea Breton. Surrealist artists expressing their discourse clearly in the manifests they published have benefited greatly from Freud's research. Surrealist, leaving all kinds of moral and logic rules aside, reflected their lives on their canvases starting from their childhood memories. They presented their inner worlds to the audience in the unique style of each artist and frequently applied to the image of women. In the surrealist painting, it is depicted as the symbol of the free sexual life they defend as well as the meaning of woman, female, fertile, mother and lover.
