Abstract


The Impact of Social Capital on Job Satisfaction in Education Institutions
In this study, the impact of social capital on job satisfaction, and explaining level of social capital to job satisfaction have been tested. The participant group in the study consists of 222 persons.120 of them are currently enrolled in post graduate program in Zirve University Institute of Social Sciences in Diyarbakir province, and 102 of them are school principals who are working in Yenişehir and Sur districts of Diyarbakir province. The correlational survey model was utilized as research methodology. The Social Capital Scale and Minnesota job satisfaction scale were the instruments used in this study. For conducting the confirmatory factor analyses of scales and the structural equation modeling, SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 17.0 software were used. The goodness fit index of the model was obtained as follows, RMSEA=.080; SRMR=.083; CMIN\DF=2,533; GFI=.924; CFI=.933; AGFI=.834; NFI=.903; Chi squared=2492,001; df=984 and p=.000. According to these results, the model fit index is at an acceptable and desired level. The most significant finding of this study is that social capital is an important predictor of job satisfaction.
