Abstract
Investigation of Preschoolers Self-Regulatory Skills According to Some Variables
The research was carried out to reveal whether some demographic characteristics
make a significant difference on the self-regulation skills of children with preschool
education. In this context, the sample group of the study consisted of 155 children between
48-66 months of age who attend preschool education institutions in Patnos district of Ağrı
province in 2017-2018 academic year. As data collection tools in the research; "Personal
Information Form" and "Preschool Self-Regulation Scale (PSSS)" were used. The data
obtained through data collection tools were analyzed in the astatistics program. In the
analysis, t test and One Way Variance Analysis (ANOVA) were used for independent
samples. As a result of the research, it was found that self-regulation skills did not make
a statistically significant difference according to the sex of the child, number of siblings,
mother age and father age (p> 0.05). On the other hand, it was seen that in what order the
child was born, the mother's educational status, family type, father's educational status
and father's employment status made a significant difference on self-regulation skills (p
<0.05).
