The Effect of Emotional Labor on Employee Well-Being
The aim of this study is to examine the effects of employees’emotional labor behaviors
on their well-being. In the explanatory study including hypotheses, a survey was conducted
on 233 employess in the service sector. According to the findings, it was revealed that surface acting and genuine emotion had a positive and significant effect on both life wellbeing and psychological well-being, that deep acting does not significantly affect life wellbeing
and psychological well-being. It was also observed that only genuine emotion had
a positive and significant effect on workplace well-being, that the effect of surface acting
and deep acting on workplace well-being is not significant. As a result, recommendations
for further studies have been made.
