Abstract
Measuring the Relationship between Economic Freedom and Logistics Performance Dimensions by Non-Linear Canonic Correlation
The economic freedom and logistics dimensions of the countries are positively
related to each other causes the economic freedom and logistics performance of the
countries to improve. The development of economic freedoms and logistics performance
contributes to the economic recovery of countries. In this context, the purpose of the study
is to determine the relationship between economic freedom and logistics performance
dimensions with Nonlinear Canonical Correlation Analysis, based on the relevant data
of 154 countries specified in the Heritage Foundation Economic Freedom Index and
Logistics Performance Index reports for 2018. According to the findings, countries with
economic freedom are logistics-friendly, countries without economic freedom are not
logistics-friendly, and countries that are mostly free within the scope of economic freedom
are countries that provide stable logistics performance. In the research, it was determined
that countries that are moderately free and mostly free in terms of economic freedom and
countries that exhibit partial performance in terms of logistics performance are countries
that contribute the least to the relationship between economic freedom and logistics
dimensions. Therefore, it has been concluded that countries that contribute the least to
the relationship between these dimensions should carry out activities that complement
each other positively in terms of economic freedom and logistics performance in order to
increase their economic freedom and logistics performance.
