Abstract
Perception of Religious Worker in Erzurum Rural (Erzurum / Oltu Example)
Every religion has a sociological dimension and needs a community that believes
in itself. It is not enough for this community to believe in just one religion. At the same
time, he must know the orders and prohibitions of that religion, how to do its rituals and
its sacred. It is the duty of every believer to know, learn and apply them. However, they
especially need someone to lead them in learning the scriptures, knowing the details of
the religious sciences based on these texts, and performing certain rituals. Here, the
class in which the people who fulfill this duty for religions are made up is called religious officials. This study examines the view of the people in rural areas towards religious
officials, their expectations from them, and the evaluation of the content and effects of
sermons and sermons prepared by religious officials. SPSS statistical program was used
in the analysis of the data collected by the survey method and the results obtained were
evaluated.
