Abstract
The Annotation and Structuralist Analysis of Şeyh Galib’s Rhyming Ode “Düştü”
In this study, the rhyming ode “Düştü” of Şehy Galib, who is one of the Classical Turkish poets of 18th century and the prominent representatives of Sebk-i Hindi, is first analyzed through traditional annotation method and then through structuralism. In the first part of the study, information as to linguistics and structuralism is provided. Then, Seyh Galib’s ode is analyzed in terms of form and meaning, and its structural characteristics are revealed.
