Abstract


The Opinions and Suggestions of the Turkish Teachers Candidates Regarding the Reading Education Course
The aim of this study is to examine the opinions and suggestions of the turkish teachers candidates regarding the reading education course. Research was based on basic qualitative research design of qualitative research methods. The study group of research was consisted of 80 third-year student studying Department of Turkish education in Atatürk University Kazım Karabekir Education Faculty. Semi-structured interviews were used at the collection of data. The descriptive analysis technique is used in the analysis of the data obtained from interviews. At the end of the study, it was determined that Turkish teachers candidates think reading training course is disconnected from the aims and achievements of the Turkish Education Program, practice-based activities are insufficient and the courses are not configured on the guidance of professional experience.
