Abstract
Developments and Experiments in Teaching Arabic Language to Non-Speakers
The teaching of Arabic to non-speakers falls like other languages in the field of foreign or second language acquisition. It is based on the theories and methods which focus on the communicative, social, and cultural dimensions of teaching a foreign language. On one hand, this involves sophisticated techniques as well as the art of creative teaching methods. One the other hand, direct implications on student foreign textbooks and the performance of the teacher are highly significant. Therefore, theoretical knowledge of linguistics and applied linguistics are required to understand the process of teaching foreign languages.
The research sheds light on the developments and experiments in teaching Arabic as a foreign language by developing the capacity to listen to the target language in communicative situations of daily life with the exclusion of unnatural dialogues among beginners.
