Abstract


Process and Theories of Art Education
Art is a way of learning. It is a psychological and moral education. Art develops the skill of free thinking and decision making. Major factors which require art education are mainly social reasons. Art as a whole protects society and is against its deficiency. The most prominent cause which requires art education nowadays is industrial societies’ leading human beings to a machinery medium and isolating them from emotional values. There are two approaches in “Art Education Movement” in the west: Education Through Art and Education for Art. Existence and ncessity of art educationwhich is so influential on communication and sensitivity development of people who are open to free thinking cannot be denied. Art education for yhe individuals in their early ages reveals the importance of art educators who teach through contemporary methods, as education policy and contemporary needs require so.
