Abstract


Relationalship Between Stress and Learning Success
Stress to be a reaction of organism exposed to the threatening stimulants is a kind of condition often experienced and taking place in everybody’s lives generally. The development of technology, the complexity of life, the increasing of workload, the increasing of life expectation, the increasingly complex areas of business life, the increasing of health problems, the increasing of responsibilities and some different kinds of factors such as urbanization increase the probability of facing stress in real life. Stress has become a reality of today’s society. In recent years the expectations of people have been increasing, the responsibilities have become more and more. Of course this position has caused the increasing of “critical success factors”. The persons who are not satisfied in terms of critical success factors live various inhibitions/problems and this situation cause various psychological and physiological voltage/stress conditions. In the recent years the basing too many factors about the growing up of stress and the increasing of destructive power of it on individuals is especially the goals put before people and some obstacles blocking them on reaching these goals. These goals are always effective from work life to education life. On the other hand the social problems/barriers, family problems, educational facilities and various social pressure may be thought to be the reasons of stress. This position we talked about generally creates negative affections, blocks the controlling of individual’s behaviors. For instance having enough information about coping with stress and applying it either ensures leaving them and or increases the learning success. This study was conducted with the aim of examining the influence of the position of stress process on the learning processes. For that reason and for the aim of reaching this aim the answers of above questions were looked for. 1) What are the effects of physical features of students on their stress lives? 2) What are the influences of the student’s emotional positions on their stress lives? 3) What are the influences of the student’s mental states on their stress lives? The negative physical conditions with the positions of lived negative feeling and thought have caused stress living. This position effects the learning success directly. For that reason defining these states and reorganizing them creates positive results in students’ learning success. For succeeding this aim, it is necessary either parents or students to be informed. In this study, it was tried to be studied to define the positions of the students reasoning the stress with the help of questionnaire applied to the students of Şehit Albay Primary and Atatürk Primary schools’ 5th class students.
