Abstract
Peri Stream Basin Geology
not distinct from the geological development of Eastern Anatolia or even Turkey. In order
to reach the correct results, the formation and development process of the Turkish land
has been evaluated in relation to the study field. If we need to use a general expression in
this context, the Turkish land has reached its present appearance at the beginning of the third geological time and at the beginning of the fourth geological time. According to the
results of the research, a significant part of the country's land was under the waters of the
Tethyan Sea in Tertiary and Lavrasia in the north continued to form under the influence
of north-south compression tectonism with the influence of the Arab Plate in the south. At
the end of the Lower Cretaceous, it is understood that some paleozoic masses surround
the paleozoic masses and that some independent parts of the land are formed in different
regions. Especially the lower mesozoic aged land fragments are connected in various
directions to the Paleozoic landscape. The first earliest units in the geological evolution
of Eastern Anatoues are metamorphics. the geological units are represented by the facies
formed in the marine and terrestrial environment. The geological formation and development
of the Peri Stream Basin are fully compatible with the geological process of Eastern
Anatolia. The basin occupies a large area in the upper Euphrates region, which forms the
western half of the region.
