Abstract


The Effect of Teachers' Exhaustion Perceptions on Their Passion for Working
The goal of thisresearch is to determine the relationship between the elementary school, middle school and high school teachers’ exhaustion perceptıons and passion for working. During the research 1127 teachers’ opinion were made use of who were working in Malatya province in the education year of 2014-2015 and were chosen from different schools and branches with random sampling technique. As data collection tools; “Burnout Scale” is developed by Maslachand Jackson (1981) and adopted toTurkish by Ergin (1992) and “The Measurement of Engagement” which was developed by Schaufeli, Salanova, Gonzalez-Roma andBakker (2002) and adopted into Turkish by Turgut (2011) was used. As a result of the analysis which were obtained in theresearch, it was seen that the average of the Exhaustion Perceptions scale extent were in various ranges. It was seen that perception level of the emotional exhaustion scale was in the range of “low”. It is seen that all the averages related to the measurement of ‘lower personal success’ were in the range of “high”. It was seen that participants evaluated their level related to the measurement of ‘general exhaustion’ in ‘medium’ ebb. The level of worrking for passion is in ‘high’ level in all of its dimentions. It was also seen that there is a relation between lower personal success and personal commitment.
