Abstract
Relationship Between Socio Economic Status and Smoking Behaviour
Smoking prevalence is really high between low socio economic status groups and
disadvantaged smokers may face higher exposure to tobacco’s harms. According to
studies this may be the result of reduced social support for quitting, low motivation to
quit, stronger addiction to tobacco, not completing courses, lack of self-efficacy. The
subject of this study is to to investigate the causes and what can be done in dealing with
tobacco dependence between these groups. It is planned to introduce a model in the study
by using exploratory methods and to guide the next studies.
