Abstract


Evaluation of Sport-Health Belief Levels of Students Who Study in Vocational High School of Health Services
The aim of this study is to evaluate sport-health belief levels of students who study in vocational high school of health services. 98 students (53=female, 45=male) who study in vocational high school of health services of Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University and have lesson of physical education and sports once a week participated volunteerly in this study. In this study, ‘‘Sport-Health Belief Scale’’ with 5 sub-dimensions developed by Ertüzün (2013) and personel information form developed by researcher were applied to students. In the analysis of data, SPSS 23.0 IBM statistical software was utilized for data calculation and evaluation. According to the normality test results; it was determined that data had not normal distribution. While comparing data according to normality test results in terms of dual comparisions, Mann Whitney-U test was used. Kruskal Wallis test was used in multiple comparisions and Tamhane test was applied in order to determine difference between the variables. Significance level in this study was determined as =0.05. As a result of the research, when comparisions were determined according to gender, time of sports making and weekly number of sports making variables, There was no a significant difference in terms of any dependent variables. On the other hand, it was determined that psychological benefit level of individuals aged 21 and over years was significantly higher than individuals aged 17-20 years. In welfare level variables, it was concluded that perceived seriousness and self-efficacy levels of individuals whose welfare level was poor was significantly different from individuals whose welfare level was normal, it was also concluded that physical benefit level of individuals whose welfare level was poor was significantly different from individuals whose welfare levels were normal and good.
