During the First Years of Ottoman Rule Timar System in the Palestine (Example of Gaza and Quds Sanjaks)
People generally known as reaya in Ottoman State had some responsibilities to state. Among these responsibilities there were tax figures to be paid about agricultural and husbandry facilities. Because In the Ottoman Empire, the property rights of the fertilizable lands were belonged to state. State gave their soldiers and civil servants in those regions the duty of collecting these taxes as their salaries. This system, known as grooming and state was provided administrative, military and economic control. In this study, Gaza and Quds areas, will be examined embodiment of tımar.
